WHAT DO YOU KNOW..?  

The Song “Free Nelson Mandela" was released in 1984 and first performed by the band The Special AKA. The composer was Jerry Dammers, who played the keyboards and wrote lyrics for the band. 
It was a protest song against Nelson Mandela’s imprisonment.
